Reviews and reputation
Orthodontic Reputation and Review Management
Parents read reviews before they call. We give your team a simple, fair way to ask every patient for a review and to reply without ever exposing patient information.
- Plans from $990 a month
- Every patient asked
- No incentives
- Privacy-safe replies
Why it matters
Reviews influence both patients and rankings
Patients trust them
A steady stream of recent, specific reviews tells a parent what treatment at your practice is actually like.
Google uses them
Rating, volume and recency of reviews are strong signals for local map visibility.
Rules apply
The FTC’s rule on reviews and testimonials, in force since October 2024, prohibits fake reviews, undisclosed insider reviews and suppressing negative ones.
What is included
A reputation process your team can keep up
Request workflow
A short text or email sent after key milestones, such as bonding and debonding.
Team training
Simple guidance for the front desk on when and how to ask.
Reply drafting
Responses written for your approval, positive and negative alike.
Privacy checks
Replies never confirm a visit, a treatment or any personal detail.
Profile monitoring
New reviews across Google and other key sites flagged as they arrive.
Monthly summary
Volume, rating trend and recurring themes worth acting on.
Negative reviews
A calm, consistent approach to criticism
One unhappy review is rarely the problem. A defensive reply, or no reply, usually is.
- Acknowledge the concern without confirming any treatment
- Invite the person to contact the office directly
- Flag reviews that break platform policies for removal
- Pass recurring complaints to you as operational feedback
FAQ
Review questions
Can we offer a gift card for a review?
Incentives tied to positive reviews are prohibited by the FTC rule, and Google’s policies also restrict incentivized reviews. We recommend asking without any reward.
Can we ask only happy patients?
No. Filtering who is asked based on expected sentiment is review gating, which violates Google’s policies and misrepresents your practice.
Can staff or family leave reviews?
Reviews from insiders that do not disclose the relationship are covered by the FTC rule. We advise against them.
Can you remove a bad review?
Only the platform can remove a review, and only if it breaks its policies. We prepare the request when there are grounds, and help you respond well when there are not.
